Our Farm

Azienda Agricola La Lastra consists of 2 different working farms: 7 hectares of vineyards in the area of San Gimignano and 23 hectares not far from the historical centre of Siena (7 of which cultivated with vineyards, and 7 with olive trees).
Guided by the great passion that inspires those who devote their lives to agriculture as a free personal choice, we cultivate our vineyards and olive trees following organic methods. The vinification of all our red grapes takes place in our beautiful ancient wine cellar in Marciano, while in San Gimignano we turn into wine our Vernaccia di San Gimignano grapes according to the Italian wine law. There is no agriturismo without a productive farm, and our Agriturismo Marciano in Siena is located in the middle of our working farm that has the same name. The estate develops around the ancient buildings that form the heart of the farm: the cellars, the shed for agricultural machines, and the house where we leave together with our guests. Our farm, immersed in a wild life protected area, can be visited for educational purposes, but also for a pleasant walk in the heart of nature, where you can meet many wild creatures: foxes, porcupines, hares, pheasants, wild boars, roe deer. ... that here have found a home away from hunters and pesticides.
